Should Social Media Regulate Age Restrictions More Thoroughly?
If a person at age nine is on Twitter seeing inappropriate pictures, shouldn’t that be regulated? If a teenager is bullying another class member online through Facebook, shouldn’t that be reported? There are so many reasons why media experts like Ken Kurson believe social media outlets must regulate the age of users more carefully.
Think about how many less cases of cyberbullying there would be if young children had no access to social media. They’d be able to do more outdoor activities or events as a family. Children don’t need social media to survive, it’s important to instill that in them. Mandates on social media regulations should be much more enforced for the sake of the future generations wellbeing. Social media is becoming more important than human connection and with that can come many issues. Ken Kurson insists that mandates are more demanded by parents and those who care about the future of children.
