Xiaomi revealed more information about the new 14 series two days before the event and now revealed several details about the camera of the upcoming Xiaomi 14. On the one hand, it includes the update of the image sensor of the main camera, which remains at 50 MP, but increases from 1/1.49″ to 1/1.31″. It’s not quite pro level, but it still promises significantly more light capture, which is essential for good cameras. Individual pixels grow from 1 to 1.2 μm.
Another posting promises a revised portrait mode. The engine has been completely revised and the Xiaomi 14 series can offer more realistic portraits than before. That sounds like a big promise. Innovations create a look that resembles the look of a real camera.
Last but not least, the Xiaomi 13’s 75 mm telephoto camera with a movable lens is available on the regular Xiaomi 14 this year. This means close-ups of up to 10cm are possible with this camera, so this zoom camera also works as a macro camera and looks really good in my opinion.
