Samsung may sell its foldable well, Xiaomi shows better performance.
We have a final look at the smartphone sales numbers from the last quarter and some exciting things stand out. On the one hand, Canalys’ numbers confirm that Xiaomi has performed very well compared to Samsung and Apple. With its own market share, it continues to scratch its way into second place, now just 3 percent behind Apple.
Things also picked up for Motorola and TCL. Samsung and Apple recorded a smaller year-over-year decline for the third quarter of 2023.
However, I find it a bit more exciting to see the individual devices, as Samsung’s Galaxy S series is weakening in the third quarter.
