Snow White: Asus unveils ROG RTX 4080 and 4090 white editions

Ahead of the cold season, Asus is launching both the ROG GeForce RTX 4090 and GeForce RTX 4080 in a white version. The massive graphics card now stands out with a cooler completely immersed in white, rounded off by subtle RGB lighting at the end.

For the official launch of the new RTX 4000 card based on the Ada Lovelace architecture, Asus ROG has already presented its own custom GPU design. The sleek cooler with its three 110mm fans and ROG-typical decor is particularly eye-catching. To prevent the graphics card from hanging in the housing, the cooling cover, backplate and inner frame are made of metal.

Asus has now given the Fresh White Edition an icy design with a white cooler, white case and white backplate. RGB lighting comes more into its own with subtle accents in silver. Only the circuit board is still black.. unfortunately. But what about the white design?

Under the hood, nothing changes at least in the specifications. Asus continues to offer two graphics cards in a “normal” version and as an OC model with slightly higher clocks. The memory configuration also remains the same: 16 GB for the RTX 4080, 24 GB for the RTX 4090.

Price and Availability

As of now, there is no suggested retail price for the White versions, and no details on availability However, the white models should be available in stores in the coming weeks and will probably be based on the prices of the black versions. The RTX 4080 is currently available from 1,650 euros, the RTX 4090 starts at 2,600 euros. It’s unclear whether prices and availability will improve next year – the GPU situation is still very difficult.
