It hit theaters a few weeks ago. Dune: Part Two, a film that broke the mold of the science fiction genre, as it connected with the first part in a very organic way was loved by all the audiences who got a chance to see it. This positive reception is surely going to attract the attention of big names in Hollywood and none other than one of them Steven SpielbergA reputable director who is able to give his opinion to the manufacturer of the product.
In a recent podcast, Spielberg He praised a lot Denis Villeneuve, the director of the film, stated that it is one of the best films of the genre that he has seen in his life, noting that he has created a unique world and that it can be distinguished from other fictional universes without problems. Even spotlighting recognizable names like George Lucas, responsible for creating Star Wars, which is currently undergoing a restructuring process after Disney’s failure.
Here’s what Spielberg had to say:
It is an honor to sit here and speak with you. Let me start by saying that there are filmmakers who are world builders. This is not a long list and we know who many of them are. Starting with Méliès and Disney and Kubrick, George Lucas. Ray Harryhausen included him on that list. Fellini created his own world. Tim Burton. Obviously Wes Anderson, Peter Jackson, James Cameron, Christopher Nolan, Ridley Scott, Guillermo del Toro. The list goes on, but it is not that long, and I deeply and sincerely believe that you are one of its newest members.
It is a desert-loving story, but for such a desert-loving film there is a strong desire for water in this film. Despite all the sand in this movie, it’s actually water. Holy water that longs for green meadows and blue waters of life. You film the desert to look like a sea, an ocean. The sandworm was like a sea snake. And that scene surfing in the sand dunes is one of the best things I’ve ever seen. Never! But you made the desert like liquid.
Remember that Dune: Part Two Still in theaters, will be released later MAX.

Editor’s note: I can’t comment much about the movie, since I haven’t even seen the first part. So, we have to wait to see them on streaming platforms, because if Spielberg approves, it already means something.
