Announces the availability of wireless Bluetooth synchronization for TASCAM and ATOMOS TASCAM PortCapture X8. Add optional with TASCAM, AK-BT1 Bluetooth® dongle for Port Capture X8 and the newly announced Atmos Connect Device, AtomX sync, Or Ultrasync Blue timecode sync adapters, videographers and audio professionals can now seamlessly and wirelessly, using 192kHz / 32-bit float point recording technology, synchronize Portacaptor X8’s 8-track recording capabilities with cameras, including video. There are also DSLRs and mirrors. The model results in outstanding audio quality, being fully synchronized with the visuals for maximum flexibility throughout production.
Synchronizing files on a time-synced basis through timecodes greatly helps the post-editing process, especially for projects using multiple cameras or recorders. Now, TASCAM and ATOMOS have solutions that solve numerous production situations.
ATOMOS Ultrasonic One
The setup can be expanded by adding ATOMOS Ultrasonic One, Which provides the flexibility to act as a transmitter timecode server or receiver client device. A camera master can get the timecode feed directly using Ultrasync One as the timecode source.
At the same time, Ultrasync One sends timecodes wirelessly Ultrasink BlueWhich, in turn, can wirelessly feed TASCAM Portacapture X8 / AK-BT1 and various other devices.
Wireless timecode synchronization
The Portacapture X8 control app will be updated to enable wireless timecode synchronization via Bluetooth to include the tools needed to use this new wireless sync function. Other commercial apps will also be compatible with Apogee Metarecorder, Mavis Pro Camera, and MovieSlate 8 Logging.
