We’re moving in the middle of the year, and new products keep coming. Of course, with the end of June marking the end of the developer season, Microsoft Build, Google I / O, and Apple’s WWDC have already survived.
If you are looking for the latest technology that we have the privilege of testing ourselves, we highly recommend the following products.
Dell XPS 15 (9520)
Still the best, only fast
Professional
-
Tidy and solid build
-
Aesthetically perfect
-
Strong productivity and creative performance
-
Above-average battery life
-
Excellent keyboard and touchpad
-
Superior OLED display
-
Outstanding audio
Cons
-
Expensive
-
Performance ceiling is limited by thin chassis
XPS is our 15-inch laptop for 15 years. And while it hasn’t received the same radical redesign as the XPS 13, its familiar aesthetics are far from old-fashioned. The carbon fiber texture on the palate still looks and feels pleasing – and of course, the small bezels around the display are industry-leading.
Most importantly, this year’s model pushes out more performance than the previous year, adopting Intel’s latest 12th-gen H-series processors. Thanks to the advancement of Intel’s hybrid approach, the disposal of the Dell XPS 15 has more (and faster) cores than ever before. The LED screen is as great as ever, and although it lacks the MacBook Pro’s 16-inch extreme battery life, the XPS 15 you’ll find near a serviceable option next to the fence window.

HyperX Cloud Mix earbuds
A gamer’s tech in true wireless
Professional
-
Excellent battery life
-
Comfortable
-
Solid sound quality in games
-
Work with virtually any device
-
Great microphone quality
Cons
-
Disappointing touch control
-
Expensive
-
No ANC
If you are going to get dedicated wireless earbuds for gaming, they will be even better. The HyperX looks like the Cloud Mix goes to the earbud design. These are products that work just as well for gaming as they do for everyday work and phone calls – thanks in large part to the 2.4GHz connection available. Instead of relying solely on Bluetooth, Cloud Mix earbuds give you the low latency connection that gamers need, regardless of whether they’re playing on a Nintendo Switch or their own gaming PC.
While it lacks ANC, the HyperX Cloud Mix certainly makes an interesting case for gaming earbuds – and we’re fascinated by how this growing product segment blossoms over the next year or so.

-

Learning curves with the Weber app
-
The assembly takes a while
A smart grill is not as awkward as an idea might seem. Weber Genesis creates Weber’s smart modules (which you can buy and attach separately) to the grill. It can monitor the temperature of your food with the included cooking probe and alert you via the app when your food is ready.
The app is great, filled with recipes that are designed to work with sensors and send notifications to your phone. Although the grill itself is still the star. We liked the smart module a lot, but the Weber Genesis is a high-end grill with a durable build, plenty of storage space and an extra burner on hand at the end of the day.

Logitech MX Mechanical Keyboard
Form, meet function
Professional
-
Excellent typing experience
-
Works with Windows and MacOS
-
Paired with up to three devices at once
-
Adaptive, useful backlight
-
The pair is a breeze
Cons
-
A little expensive
-
Limited key remapping option
-
There are no hot-replaceable switches
The Logitech MX mechanically implies – and to be honest, we were surprised that it took so long to get a proper mechanical keyboard in Logitech’s MX range. MX offers one of the best mechanical typing experiences you can get right now due to its low-profile switches, which offer the perfect amount of snap for hours of typing. Logitech also offers three different switch options, so you can customize it the way you want.
It is expensive, but MX Mechanical is worth it. You can connect it to up to three devices across different operating systems and toggle between them at the touch of a button. Even better, the keyboard automatically switches between a Mac and Windows layout depending on the device you’re using, so you don’t have to worry about toggle switches.

-
Incredible sound
-
Very good battery life
-
Digital wired connection
-
Wear sensors
Cons
-
Very valuable
-
Huge carrying case

-
Annoying ANC mode switching
If you spend $ 600 on noise-canceling headphones, you want them to go beyond just great audio quality. And this is what Master & Dynamic offers MW75 headphones. According to our audio expert Simon Cohen, these sound even better than Sony’s WH-1000XM5 headphones and are made with top notch materials that look just as good as they think.
For sound, MW75s differ with a digital wired connection. You can run them in a straight analog mode, or hook them up with a USB-C to USB-C cable to take advantage of the headset’s built-in Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC). A DAC alone will run you at least $ 200 (and a few thousand at the high end), so it’s a great inclusion to look at MW75s.

U by Moen Smart Call
A versatile must for the kitchen
Professional
-
Provides precise water temperature
-
Accurate measurement
-
Voice control works great
-
Excellent design in many styles
-
Battery power or AC
-
DIY- can be installed
-
Versatile: Sse handle, speed or voice
Cons
-
Enough initial set up is required
-
Some may be intimidated by the installation
Moen’s U Smart Call seems like an unnecessary product unless you’re using it. It can control your water temperature so you don’t burn your hands, but it does have voice control and custom presets that set the U apart. Using Alexa or Google, you can ask the call to deliver the exact amount you need and the temperature you want.
Make a preset for your pet’s water container, or let the faucet work and ask it to wash your hands (which will run you through a proper hand washing routine in hot water). Starting from hands-free operation to precise measurement when you’re dishwashing without a measuring cup, Moener U is a surprisingly powerful focal point of the modern smart home.
