Focus on fiber optic products
AVM presented its updated product portfolio at IFA 2022 in Berlin. The real main focus of the exhibition was fiber optics and the new Fritz!OS 7.50. However, the manufacturer has also introduced two completely new products.
New user interface Fritz!OS 7.50 According to AVM, it should bring about 100 new features and improve old functions. Among other things, the update makes it easier to establish a VPN connection. Performance should be increased when using a WLAN mesh. The update should be distributed in the next few weeks.
Fritz!Fon X6 mit new favorite
with Fritz! Phone X6 AVM presents the successor to the Fritz!Fon C5. The phone is a cordless DECT phone which is supposed to offer some special features. The phone has one 2.4 inch large display, which can be used to display information such as weather. Media content such as images or photos can also be played back on the screen. it’s new beloved, which sits on the left frame of the device. Smart Fritz! Information from the home network can be quickly called using the button.
In combination with a Fritz!Box, the phone offers up to five digital answering machines, a call list and a blacklist for unwanted callers. The Fritz!Fon X6 is expected to be available from the fourth quarter of 2022. The phone comes in white and black colors 89 euros to be available
AVM Fritz!Repeater 3000AX in an angular design
The second premiere took place at IFA Fritz!Repeater 3000AX, which has a total of three radio modules. Apart from a 2.5 GHz band, two 5 GHz bands are used here, used for communication with a router. According to AVM, the tri-band repeater achieves a data rate of Up to 4,200 Mbps. Devices can be connected via WiFi 6 or via two existing LAN ports.
