A series of videos went viral yesterday in which a Colombian animator, identified as Geraldine Fernandez, claimed to have worked on El Niño y la Garza, his most recent film. Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki. Due to his exaggerated statements and his lack of name in the film’s credits, many have dismissed his statements as simply lies. As expected, social networks did not forgive him and the memes did not last long.
Although there is no official statement from Studio Ghibli at the moment confirming or denying his participation in this animated film, The public chose to express their suspicions with a series of jokes and memes that poke fun at the situation, and they hope that we will soon have information that will clarify this situation. Apart from some slides and confirming that he took more than 30 thousand frames for the film, Fernandez did not provide any specific information confirming his participation in the film. Without further ado, here are the memes of “La Colombiana” in action The Boy and the Heron.

Although everything indicates that Geraldine’s statement is an exaggerated lie, There is no statement from Studio Ghibli on the matter at this time. Something that probably won’t happen. With this, the entertainer continues to assure that he has worked on it The Boy and the Heron. Whatever the truth, it is clear that the public is entertained by this new controversy.
We remind you that The Boy and the Heron It is now available in theaters in Mexico. On a related note, you can learn more about this controversial case here. Similarly, we tell you whether it is worth going to the cinema hall to enjoy this film.
Editor’s note:
Knowing Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki, Geraldine’s statement is probably an exaggeration that got out of hand. Taking into account that the studio is very traditional, I highly doubt they will allow remote work on one of their most important projects in recent years.
