Earlier this week, conflict began to emerge in the Xbox division, as four studios within the company were announced to be closed, but the one that hit fanatics the hardest was none other than Tango GameworksCreators of franchises Evil in Hi-Fi Rush! . And while there was a lot of angst involved in the beginning, some are now being taken with a touch of humor and sarcasm, unleashing a pretty big wave of memes.

Tango Gameworks is a video game development studio based in Tokyo, Japan. It was founded in 2010 by Shinji Mikami, best known as the creator of the “Resident Evil” horror video game series. Tango Gameworks is a subsidiary of ZeniMax Media, which has been part of Xbox Game Studios since Microsoft’s acquisition of ZeniMax in 2021.
The studio is known for focusing primarily on horror and action games, with an emphasis on narrative and immersive environments. His most famous games to date are “The Evil Within” (2014) and its sequel “The Evil Within 2” (2017), both directed by Shinji Mikami and praised by critics and gamers for their distinct horror style and gameplay.
At this point, it’s unknown what will happen to the franchises the studio has put aside, or if they will be put up for sale in any way.

Author’s Note: These negative memes are certainly well-deserved, as shutting down talented studios is something that shouldn’t be done. I don’t quite understand, Halo Infinite did poorly in sales and reviews but 343 Industries is still open there, but Hi-Fi Rush! It did well in reviews and they closed their studio.
