The first phone beat the Pixel 7 Pro in the camera test

Not too long ago we celebrated Google’s Pixel 7 Pro as the best phone camera on the market. But a smartphone maker almost extinct in the West has now managed to claim its place in the sun at the well-known DXOmark.

The Pixel 7 Pro has a total of 147 points and thus at least equals the highest score so far. The new Huawei Mate 50 Pro performs better, although it is significantly more expensive than the popular Google cell phone with a top camera.

Photo camera assessment Specialists are usually a bit better. In particular, there are 10 more points for background blur. The Mate 50 Pro leaves all the competition behind in these two categories.

Here’s how the new rankings look now, the expected candidates at the top. We only miss Samsung there, but their new flagship with a 200 MP camera won’t be available until spring.

Dxomark ranking 1022
