Data die Today I reported that Apple plans to launch an all-new high-end iPhone 17 model next year, and there was one detail worth highlighting: the rear cameras could be moved to the “top “center” of the device.
Google Pixel 8 Pro
The iPhone’s rear camera system is located in the top left corner of the device from the original 2007 model, so moving the cameras to the top center of the device would be a noticeable change. Some popular Android smartphones have a rear camera at the top center, such as Google’s Pixel 8 Pro.
The report claims that the new iPhone 17 model will feature a “major redesign” similar to the iPhone. The report claims that the device could cost more than the Pro Max model, which starts at $1,199, and it likely will. The “iPhone Ultra” that was rumored a few years ago.
Here’s what the report says about the thinner iPhone 17:
- Between 6.1″ and 6.7″ screens (probably 6.5″)
- “Remarkably thin” construction with an aluminum frame
- The rear cameras have been moved to the “top center” of the device
- The iPhone range costs more than the Pro Max model
- Improved front camera
- Narrow dynamic island
- A19-chip
