It was finally released last week The Last of You Part II: Remastered, The game that takes over the adventure released in 2020 but with certain improvements such as native 4K and 60 frames per second which is now stable almost all the time. Added extra dimensions and a roguelike mode to control all characters; Combined that despite their positive things, could not captivate and this is reflected in people’s opinion.
As usual, soon after a game is released on the game page Metacritic Fans can leave scores as they deem the work deserved, but this practice has become controversial in recent years, as some agree to give extremely low ratings, and so does this game. And there are people who gave it zeros etc., so the average is now down to 7.8, which is a miracle because users on the opposite side tried to counter it with pure 10s.
Here you can see it:
Here are some of the comments they left with negative ratings:
It’s a useless rehash that changes absolutely nothing and only exists to make easy money for users.
Just meh, to be honest what saves this game is the gameplay and music, but the story… in the pile of garbage.
I’m not judging the original game, just the remaster. It can’t be called a remaster, so I can’t approve it. Players should be asking more from Sony, we’re getting tired of remasters…
Grab the cheap cash. I’m really tired of Sony now. And above all, this game was not good story-wise. Only the graphics were exceptional.
I hate this game. I’m sorry, but the story is horrible. I would never recommend this game to anyone. Let us hope that next time the developers will have more respect for our beloved heroes.
Note that the most criticized point is that naughty dog Charge $50 USD for each copy, which some consider outrageous for not adding enough to make a big difference. However, it has been clarified that there is always the option to pay $10 USD to upgrade and not have to spend so much again, something that apparently those who have already complained about their copy and this release have not been able to understand.
Remember that The Last of Us Part II: Remastered Available at PS5.
Editor’s note: It was clear that this was going to happen as soon as the game released the ability to post reviews on Metacritic. The same thing happened with the original, so it’s really no surprise that everything released from this franchise in the future will be treated with questions.
