The new Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to have a massive battery that will put the competition to shame.
There have been hints for some time that Xiaomi is going a step further and installing bigger batteries in its upcoming Android smartphones. This is a creeping trend among Chinese brands. The next generation of “normal” Xiaomi smartphones will get a significant battery upgrade, voices are already whistling from the rooftops
Now the first information is leaking about the new Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which is actually coming after the end of the year. If the source hadn’t been so reliable about Xiaomi in the past, I probably would have ignored the rumor. Regardless, the new Ultra model is said to bump up the battery to 6,000 mAh.
We’re talking 1,000 mAh more than the usual flagship phones from Samsung, Google and company. In terms of battery life, it’s definitely a huge improvement over the rest of the new hardware. To be honest, I have concerns about the weight of the smartphone, because it can increase again due to the large capacity of the battery.
The new flagship should charge with 90 watts via cable and 80 watts wirelessly. These aren’t the usual record values, but they don’t have to be set every year. (via Kartike Singh)
