The new Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro feature Face Unlock for the first time since the Pixel 4 lineup. But this time there is only one front camera, the rest is done through software. This now officially means missing a security clearance.
Shortly after the presentation of the new smartphone, it became known that face unlock cannot be used for all functions of the Pixel 7 series. You can use it to unlock the phone.
But security-related functions like Google Pay will require a finger sensor. It’s pretty disappointing if you ask me, but understandable.
