Google has shaken up the default “metallic” wallpapers of the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, and a slightly different version of those wallpapers is now available on the Pixel Fold and tablet.
Pixel Fold gets four square wallpapers divided into light and dark: calcite and sphalerite. This means the foldable model is available in obsidian and porcelain. They are again portrayed by Andrew Zuckerman.
Pixel tablets contain eight elements: Danburite, Ilvite, Barite, and Dioptase. They are more colorful and come in widescreen variants
Carved for thousands of years
The Pixel 8 series has 16 wallpapers in the same collection: Hematite (Black), Selenite (Brown), Fluorite (Blue), Apophyllite (Green), Fluorite (Purple), Fluorite (Green), Halite (Coral), Barite (Blue) ) )
On the Pixel Tablet and Fold, today’s addition of Mineral Wallpaper completes the Feathers series and follows last month’s addition of Google’s existing Living Universe Live Wallpaper.
Despite the availability of emoji and AI wallpapers, Google will likely continue to set the default settings for each generation of Pixel and has released several new wallpapers in recent weeks.
