It’s hard to believe it’s been almost 12 years since we launched the first PlayStation Plus, and Wipeout HD was one of the first games offered to PlayStation Plus members. PlayStation Plus has evolved over the years with more than 1,000 games available to customers All over the world. We’ve regularly improved our offers to offer an attractive package to the 47 million users who subscribe to the service today. Just eight years ago, we launched the PlayStation Now as an open beta, and since then we’ve seen it transform into a full-service service, enjoyed by over three million users in select markets.
As of today, we are taking our services one step further. We’re delighted to be joining the Asian PlayStation community to welcome the new PlayStation Plus three-tier feature offer. Launched today in the following countries: South Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. Japan will follow next week. Markets in North and South America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand will be launched next month.
This is an exciting time for us as we begin to offer our incredible game catalog * to PlayStation players around the world. Our priority is to include high-level games in the service; So, we’re delighted to be launching some of the most popular titles, including Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, NBA 2K22, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Returns for additional and premium / deluxe customers. Also, some popular classic titles like Ape Escape, Super Stardust Portable, Siphon Filter, Tekken2 and many more can be found. These iconic games will be amazing to play on PS5 and PS4. Our game catalog will be updated over time with exciting new titles and we can’t all wait to try this experience.
