(Pocket-Lint) – The BBC has launched a native BBC Sound app for the PlayStation 5.
UK PS5 owners can now download the app to listen to BBC radio content live and on demand.
BBC Sound also has a large collection of podcasts that you would not normally find on other services. There is also a music mix created by Bibe’s own experts and well-known artists.
Radio 1 contains music and all genres of music to listen to, including classical Although the podcasts on offer include famous interviewers Louis Theroux and Stacey Dooley.
“A record number of people are using BBC Sound, and the launch of the PS5 makes it easier for our listeners to enjoy bright live and on-demand radio, music and podcasts from the BBC,” said Pushpa Reddy, the corporation’s director of product management.
“Whether it’s on TV, smartphones, smart speakers or on the web, we want to be there wherever and whenever people want to hear.”
The Bib now also offers a dedicated BBC Sound app for Sonos. Sonos is the only way for speaker owners to listen to BBC Radio content, since it has removed its services from the TuneIn app. You can check out how it works here.
