Samsung is once again facing a lot of headaches when it comes to its own Exynos chipset.
It’s still annoying that Samsung is switching to old tricks and selling its flagship smartphones with its own Exynos chipset in some countries, while US customers are getting Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in all models. Complaining about it is completely pointless and gets us nowhere.
We should rather see if the Exynos 2400 is good enough for the S24 and S24+. Numerous comparisons show that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is better, but not far behind the new Exynos 2400 in terms of performance. Nevertheless, almost all tests are carried out on Samsung chips to be as indistinguishable as possible to sort around.
I don’t think the latest test from TheCechChip is suitable for this. Aside from a bug that caused the Galaxy S24+ to stutter, but a restart helped, the Exynos 2400 doesn’t seem to suffer too much. The biggest difference is the video rendering, which at least users can use in everyday life.
What is relevant for Europe is that the S24 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 offers the best performance, but also the highest price for consumers.
