After the success of the NES and SNES Mini, many would think that Nintendo would offer smaller versions of its retro consoles. However, this did not happen. Thus, it fell to the devotees to make it a reality, and A prime example of this is Wii MiniAlso known as short stack.

In addition, the console takes advantage of the open source Fujiflex PCB for digital A/V output via HDMI and nandFlex to transfer the Wii’s NAND and allow for a seamless fit. The short stack connects to the light via USB-C and uses GCVideo for lossless digital audio and video via HDMI.
Wii controllers and other accessories connect via Bluetooth. Considering that the size precludes the use of physical disks, the console uses a microSD port to load games and store data. Although small, The Short Stack even retains the four GameCube ports found on the original system. Thus, an experience very close to the original is offered.
Considering this is an informal project, The Wii Mini isn’t for sale, but Smith shared All documents All you need to do is build your own short stack. In related matters, a fan has built a working Wii XL Likewise, the Wii Virtual Store is back.
Author’s Note:
I’d like to see more companies working on mini versions of their most popular consoles. Having an Xbox Mini or Dreamcast Mini wouldn’t be bad, even an N64 Mini would be amazing. However, it seems that this business is not as profitable as we thought.
