There is TikTok Officially launched Its a new limited test ‘Post view history’ optionWhich will enable users to see who among their followers has seen their TikTok clips, if viewers opt-in to track their activity.
As you can see in this example, shared by a social media expert Matt NavaraSome TikTok users are now being informed about the option, which only relates to users who follow you, or who follow you, providing insights into another measure of engagement in your TikTok community.
The feature was first tested in January this year.
Some people are surprised that TikTok has introduced this as an alternative, in view of the possibility of further annoyance, if you say, you want to avoid the people who are constantly appearing on your watch list.
But for one, it’s only related to people who are already in your TikTok community (so if this is someone you want to avoid, you’ve probably already blocked them). Also, TikTok actually Used to share this informationAs a way to increase the connection to the app.
TikTok stopped sending these notifications early last year, amid various investigations into its data sharing processes (and several High-profile case of TikTok stockers). But given that it was once an option, it’s not a huge surprise to see it come back in a different form though.
Although its practical, practical value is debatable
Maybe it has something for aspiring influencers, to reach out to potential collaborators who have checked out their stuff, or maybe it might work for hook-ups, if you want to use TikTok for that.
But much like the same feature on LinkedIn, for the most part, it seems quite useless. I mean, it’s a little interesting to know that someone from the company you want to work with has checked out your profile – but if they do and they’re not forced to communicate, is that really important?
The value of TikTok seems to be more limited – but again, there may be some potential business connections and contacts with partners based on interest.
Either way, I can imagine a lot of people would choose, though it would only create more questions about reach (maybe they’re not looking at my posts) and friendship (she’s not even checking my clips).
Also, there are still stock elements, which can lead to more potential annoyance and conflict.
There is TikTok Sure It is still being piloted without any plans for a full rollout.
