The Twitch platform has been at the center of controversy in the entertainment world this week, after months of allowing sexual content without the possibility of a ban, as people don’t show private parts directly to the camera. Totally valid. The reason is that it generates millions of views which brings the company a lot of money, but it seems that it is going to end soon due to complaints from affiliates who do not consider it acceptable content.
After the complaint, Twitch Made some changes that would go back to regulations where nudity of real people or characters that have an artistic purpose would not be accepted, which was the shield of many creators that there was nothing wrong with the content. Now, they are only seen in video games that are rated 18+ and are partial, not that they are shown all the time without any clothing.
Here is the statement:
We’re making some additional updates to our Sexual Content Policy We understand that our previous update caused confusion and appreciate all the feedback we received. Thanks for always joining us to help build the best version of Twitch.

We have decided that we have gone too far with this change. Digital sampling of nudes presents a unique challenge; Artificial intelligence can be used to create realistic images, and it can be difficult to distinguish between digital art and photography.
At the end of the day, high powered streamers will still be content with their usual approach, i.e. putting the camera in some pool or jacuzzi to appear in scantily clad in front of a large number of subscribers and followers with donations per second. But it will not be possible to undress and partially see, the same goes for drawings or other things, they only apply to video games where they are for descriptive purposes and, of course, the stream is marked for them 18.

Editor’s note: Good thing they did, because many of their partners were close to leaving because of the problem, and in the end it was the money that they pulled all of this for. However, it is very sad that it has reached a level that no one could have imagined.
