The Verdansk map was launched alongside the launch of Call of Duty Warzone in March 2020. It was an important occasion for Call of Duty players, coinciding with the COVID-19 lockdown and giving fans plenty of time to fully explore the map in Battle Royale mode. Independent and attractive. However, as Activision continues to release more installments in the FPS series, the Verdansk map has been retired in 2021 in favor of new maps such as Urzikstan, Vondel, and Al Mazrah. Although the new maps radically changed the gameplay and included new areas for combat, many argued that no Warzone map even came close to the high level of Verdansk.

The news that Activision is bringing back the first Warzone map has excited players, flocking to X to celebrate what could be the mod’s biggest reveal in years.
