While it is true that Mexico has tried to ban TikTok, so far we have not seen any concrete efforts to implement this plan. however, Experts on the subject point out that the ban on social networks in the US could affect the rest of the continent.As Apple and Google will be forced to remove the application from their digital stores.
However, let’s remember that stores vary by country, so while it’s a possibility that TikTok will disappear from the App Store and Google Play Store across the continent, it’s not a guarantee. On the other hand, the possibility of social networks being available in Mexico and the rest of Latin America cannot be ruled out. But I stopped getting some kind of support and the updates stopped.
All of this is a possibility if TikTok’s owners, ByteDance, fail to sell the app to a US company. If this is true, Then the application will continue to work without any problems across the continent, but it is not as easy as many expect. TikTok is unlikely to disappear from Mexico and the rest of Latin America unless each country chooses to follow the United States’ lead, something many have shown interest in doing. But that’s likely to happen in Mexico, at least not in an election year.
