We thought it couldn’t be more. But the 200 MP that Samsung currently installs as the main camera on its flagship smartphones is yet to reach the upper limit. A new image sensor is currently being developed.
Samsung is likely working on a 3-layer stacked image sensor for Apple and a solution for its own smartphones at the same time. A new sensor with 500 MP is apparently in the works for its own Galaxy device, such as a Well-known interior and connoisseur.
The new 3-layer image sensor is highly advanced and is intended to overshadow Sony’s current flagships. At 500 MP we could achieve ten times more than the most commonly installed image sensors, which usually have 50 MP.
However, despite continuous development, Samsung has yet to deliver something with its 200MP image sensor that will surpass other image sensors. In fact, Samsung is usually a bit behind.
