The great game Sea of Stars was a great success for Sabotage developers. Despite being available on PS Plus Extra and Game Pass, it sold 100,000 copies on its first day and reviews were incredibly positive. While many of you are still living through Jale and Valere’s adventures, work has already begun on what’s next for Warriors of Solstice.
Yes, Sea of Stars DLC is currently in development. In a recent chat with Radio-Canada, game director Thierry Boulanger confirmed those details. He explained that the team split into two – some looking for the studio’s third game, while others started adding DLC for the RPG.
The DLC was actually a stretch goal for the Kickstarter, so creating a follow-up chapter was always part of the plan. It will be called “Throws of the Watchmaker” and will look to create a narrative connection between Sea of Stars and the first subversive game, The Messenger, set in the same location thousands of years later. It will be interesting to see how the DLC fills this void; Without giving it away, there are already a lot of things that tie the two games together, but this looks like it’s taking it a step further.
