Microsoft continues to release special edition Xbox consoles with wild abandon, and its latest offering is a new addition to its three-powerful Steam range, coming in the form of swirling green and slightly darker green Nocturnal Steam controllers.
Not only does Night Steam sound like a slang word for fart, it’s also said to be inspired by nocturnal nature. “Every swirl of color is an expression of this expansive landscape,” Microsoft said of the new console. In their latest advertisement“With a unique design for each console – each with its own strengths and style.”
Like the company’s previous vapor series controllers — the other two being the StormCloud Vapor and Dream Vapor — the Nocturnal Vapor features a “dynamic smoke design,” with a mix of dark and light greens. “Feel the appeal of the green diamond-patterned rubber grips on the caseback,” the official ad continues, “and add a touch of sophistication to your experience.”

It costs £64.99/$69.99 on the Microsoft Store (it’s also available at “local retailers”) and launches next Tuesday, April 9.
