The new Xiaomi 13T smartphones are here and feature a waterproof design, Leica triple camera and an AMOLED panel that’s up to 2,600 nits bright. Despite the flagship features, even the top model with a terabyte of memory stays below the 1,000 euro mark. We have summarized for you the most important innovations of the two models.
Same as last year 12T (Pro) Xiaomi is launching the T series after almost one and a half years 13 Series flagship (tested here) Apart from a new design at the start, there are some exciting changes, especially under the hood, which primarily affect the camera and software support. Xiaomi is offering longer software support for both the 13T and 13T Pro and has promised four major Android OS updates and five years of security patches.
MediaTek’s chips work under the hood. Whereas the Xiaomi 13T has one Dimension 8200 Ultra (4 nm, 8x cores, up to 3.1 GHz), the Pro model gets a Level 9200+ (4 nm, 8x cores, up to 3.35 GHz). Both the SoCs should ensure very decent performance with games and coupled with a 5,000 mAh battery should ensure a long runtime. Smartphones are charged up to 67 watts (13T) or 120 watts (13T Pro). A should in the latter case Full charge only 19 minutes The end – an impressive result.
Also, Xiaomi 13T has 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage on board. The 13T Pro will be available with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB of internal storage. There are even top models More than 16 GB of RAM and 1 Terabyte of internal storage. So that the technology can maintain its maximum performance as long as possible, Xiaomi has integrated a new steam chamber with 5000 mm², intended to dissipate heat more effectively.
Ultralight OLED-display mit 144 Hz
A real highlight should be the 6.67-inch AMOLED display on the front. In addition to a crisp Full HD+ resolution (2,712 x 1,220 pixels), high frame rates of up to 144 Hz and Maximum brightness of 2,600 nits (!) in the eye – we look forward to the results of the first test. The front is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
Glass is also used on the back, mainly in black or meadow green with a glossy finish. But the Xiaomi 13T Pro will also have it Alpine Blue with Vegan Faux Leather But it doesn’t matter which color you choose: for the first time, all devices are protected against water and dust according to IP68.
Last but not least, the camera should not be missing, because this is probably the biggest innovation here. Both the smartphones get a triple setup with 50MP wide angle (24mm equivalent focal length), 50MP telephoto (2x optical zoom) and 12MP ultra wide angle. A 20MP punch-hole camera is available on the front for selfies (More details and information can be found in the specification table)
Through a partnership with German camera specialist Leica Leica- looks authentic and vibrant with the party There are also six Leica filters, now expanded to include Sepia and Blue as a tribute to the LeicaM Typ240 film mode. The Pro model stands out due to the possibly more powerful SoC with video at 8K resolution mit 10-bit LOG 4:2:0 H.265 (with Rec.709 LUT) from normal Xiaomi 13T.
