Xiaomi may go the way of Samsung and lower the price for its 2024 flagship.
Samsung has already led the way, with the Galaxy S24 and S24+ starting out cheaper than their predecessors last year. It’s quite possible that the competition now wants to respond immediately and ultimately doesn’t have to do anything to put themselves in a positive light. According to rumor mill, Xiaomi should match the price.
These are still early rumours, but for the European market spreading out I just found out that Xiaomi will offer its 14 series again in 2024 at a slightly cheaper price. At least the new Xiaomi should launch on February 14 and then we will know more. Maybe sooner or later it will become clear.
Samsung has already led the way
At least I think it’s smart to set the price so that it still looks somewhat attractive, which is really hard compared to Samsung. The storage campaign was launched again in 2024, with customers still getting the next larger storage variant at no extra charge. There were low basic prices.
In my opinion, Xiaomi needs to respond at this point. Either with an attractive introductory promotion or with a good RRP But of course you shouldn’t expect Xiaomi to be as cheap as before, we are still around 900 euros for the Xiaomi 14.
