Xiaomi is apparently planning to release a new 27-inch monitor internationally. The Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i offers 165 Hz and has a Full HD resolution. It should be a cheaper alternative to the WQHD model.
Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G27i has appeared on Xiaomi’s global website This model has not yet been announced; The manufacturer recently unveiled a 30-inch curved monitor with 200 Hz. Xiaomi currently offers two office and a gaming monitor with a 27-inch diagonal The latter, however, has a WQHD resolution and therefore costs around 260 euros.
The new G27i model is apparently one International version of Redmi G27, which was launched in the Chinese market in May for the equivalent of 105 euros. It is not known if the Euro price is likely to be slightly higher. Comparable monitors currently cost around 150 to 180 euros.
Low latency and brightness
Xiaomi relies on one Fast-IPS-Display with 1.920 × 1.080 pixels (completely enriched with high quality). The refresh rate is 165 Hertz (FreeSync Premium) and gray-to-gray latency is given as one millisecond – this should appeal to gamers in particular. Brightness rating is below average 250 nits Beyond that 300 nits is now more common in this category. The eight-bit panel covers 99 percent of the sRGB color space.
On the back, the monitor has a DisplayPort, HDMI 2.0, an audio jack and a power connection – no USB port. It is also operated via a joystick. Apparently the screen can only be tilted 15 degrees backwards and 5 degrees forwards No swivel or height adjustment.
It is unknown when the manufacturer will release the new gaming screen. It may also be that the model is not offered in Germany.
