Xiaomi has launched a new Android smartphone that will enable users to fast charge up to 210 watts. That’s about ten times the speed of, for example, what Google offers with its Pixel phones. But does the Redmi Note 12 Pro special edition really load that fast?
In the first Asian Test showsThat full speed will probably never be reached. Of course there are losses, and so the new device achieved a peak output of about 185 watts in tests. This performance could only be maintained for about 32 seconds, then the first drop was 151 watts.
Ultimately, the smartphone misses the promise in the first test, even in terms of total charging time. About ten minutes were required for 100 percent, while the manufacturer said nine minutes for the presentation. But these are details that don’t make much of a difference.
