It has a lot to offer, but the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ isn’t perfect and has some weaknesses.
This is the most popular series of devices in Xiaomi and again there are several models Xiaomi has now presented the new Redmi Note 13 series in its country, and it will arrive in Europe with some delay. Xiaomi has gotten better, especially with the top models, but it still doesn’t fulfill all your wishes.
It is clearly the highlight of this series and comes close to some high-end smartphones. The new Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has plenty of up-to-date hardware. This includes a 200MP Samsung camera with 4x crop zoom and OIS. The housing is IP68 certified and the display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus.
Unique design for a mid-range smartphone
Only the Dimensity 7200 processor doesn’t sound like a high price range. Other important data such as 5,000 mAh battery with 120 W fast charging, screen fingerprint sensor, up to 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage or 120 Hz fast 6.67″ OLED display (max. 1,600 nits) sound very powerful.
Curved display, but no wireless charging
Interesting facts about the camera: The main sensor has 200 MP, but the ultra-wide-angle camera has only 8 MP and also includes a 2 MP macro lens. A totally weird camera setup. But there are other points, such as the lack of wireless charging, that mean the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is clearly not a top device.
The predecessor has already been released for around 500 euros, which could be a bit more expensive with the Redmi Note 13 Pro+. You have to look at what is more interesting for the user. A Google phone at this price offers wireless charging and a three-year warranty for the latest Android version. Xiaomi still needs to improve here.
