Baldur’s Gate 3 will allow players to customize their characters and create “multiple classes” to “avoid restarting the entire game.”
So says Larian’s Nick Peshinen, who confirmed in a recent livestream that players will not only encounter a character “that lets them reset their class and reinvest all their levels,” but also explore some “really cool” leveled combos.
“We wanted to avoid players having to restart the entire game because it’s a very narrative experience” (thanks, computer games) “There’s a character you can meet – you probably will – that will allow you to reset your class and reinvest all levels.”
As for the “complex” ones?
“In Multilayers, there are a lot of combinations that are really great and some combinations that don’t quite work, and we want players to really experience what’s possible,” Pechinin added. And respect really helps with that.”
Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released on August 3rd for PC and September 6th for PlayStation 5, while the Xbox version will take a little longer due to issues with the split-screen co-op mode on the Xbox Series S.
Did you know that Maggie Robertson, the actress who played the famous Mrs. Dimitrescu in Resident Evil Village, will play another memorable villain in Baldur’s Gate 3?
Bertie will give you an in-depth look at what he played at next week’s BG3 event (including the PS5 version), along with an interview with boss Larian Sven Vink. For now though, make sure you stay tuned Larian Full Palette From Hell For the current game overview.
