The Google Pixel 8a won’t launch until Google I/O 2024, but photos are already making the rounds online.
Google’s secrecy is at work once again, as the first images of the upcoming Pixel 8a have surfaced today. What’s especially surprising is that we don’t actually expect the Pixel 8a until spring 2024, probably seven to eight months away. The date should be May 2024.
The first shots show not only the back and case frame, but also the front. We see very wide screen bezels and a design closer to the regular Pixel 8 model, which is said to be released in October 2023. The case is also very well rounded.
Google has stuck with a dual camera and is apparently planning a blue variant of the mid-range smartphone. There may be a Tensor G3 chipset under the hood, but this is currently unconfirmed.
