Kill It With Fire VR, the first-person spider hunter from developer Casey Donnellan Games and publisher tinyBuild, launches a spider hunt on Sony’s PSVR 2 on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
Humanity’s worst enemy (the house spider, of course) has invaded and infested the once peaceful, now extremely chaotic neighborhood. Step up as a licensed Kill It With Fire pest controller to restore peace. Explore each damaged room, including the attic, kitchen and even the garden, and build an arsenal of weapons from what you see – picture frames, your favorite television, a torch… If it can be thrown at pesky monsters, it works!
Unlike Meta Quest 2 and the SteamVR version, PSVR 2 introduces eye tracking: instead of pointing their hands to pick up objects, players can now simply look at them and then hold down the grip button to quickly pick up a weapon.
Explore every nook and cranny and use sophisticated tracking technology to locate spiders in pizza boxes, under milk cartons or even in sock drawers. Discover hidden upgrades and pick up a frying pan to eliminate these pesky creatures.
Increase the killing spree with access to various spider-fighting weapons. Turn on the weed cutter and sweep away the hordes of arachnids. Aim, load and spray the creepy crawlers with the shotgun or simply, but most effectively, burn them down with the trusty flamethrower.
Don’t keep any spiders alive, whether in an office space, barn or all your local retail favorites. Take on optional missions or test your pest control skills in the Arachno Gauntlet. Achieve all of these and you’ll be rewarded with a top secret ending and become the Kill It With Fire pest controller the world needs.
Kill It With Fire VR will be released on Tuesday, November 7 for Sony’s PSVR 2, priced at USD$14.99 / €14.99. The game is supported in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Dutch, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese.
