It’s time for another wave of Xbox Game Pass games!
Starting today, October 17th, users like Sakamoto Ryoma can “grab the sword” in Like A Dragon: Ishin! (Cloud, Console and PC). Later this week, on October 19, F1 Manager 2023 (cloud, console and PC) will be available through Microsoft’s subscription service.
City: Skylines 2 (PC) will release on its first day on October 24th
Just last night, publisher Paradox Interactive admitted that the city-building sequel “didn’t hit the mark.” [performance] The standard we were aiming for.” However, instead of delaying the game to fix these issues, the publisher decided that “releasing now was the best way forward.”
Was it the right move? I think the proof is in the pudding.
The highlight of this wave of games is Dead Space (Cloud, PC, Xbox series).
If Dead Space isn’t really your thing, the cool Minecraft Night Market (Cloud, Console and PC) is also coming out on October 26th. This upcoming narrative-driven social simulation adventure celebrates Japanese culture and “invites players to craft whimsical items, eat delicious snacks, and ultimately have fun with all the cats.”
Frog Detective: The Complete Mystery will also be released on the cloud and consoles on this day.
Rounding out this lineup of games for October are Headbangers: Rhythm Royale (Cloud, Console, PC) and one of the best jumps in video games, Jusant (Cloud, Console, PC). Both the titles will release on the first day, October 31st
When our own Donlan played with Jussant earlier this year, he was impressed with the whole thing and described the demo as “kind of fun.”
“When I finished the demo, I was in love,” he wrote after his time with the game. “And what was it? I wasn’t really that high. I mean, I was high enough that I got a little dizzy, but the mountain tower itself stayed high in the sky.”
“What do I get there?” he asked, admitting he couldn’t wait to find out.
