Is Xiaomi focusing more on the more expensive Ultra models?
At Samsung, the intermediate model, the Plus version, is the least popular model. Xiaomi may decide against an international launch of the 14 Pro, but instead launch the regular 14 and the slightly better 14 Ultra. All in all, the Xiaomi 14 comes much closer to the Pro in terms of features this year.
The Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro are the first models to run HyperOS and were launched in China in October 2023. Since the market launch was brought forward, we expect a slightly earlier market launch for the global versions of these devices, possibly in direct response to the Samsung Galaxy S24 in January 2024.
