Samsung wants to be on top in all aspects, and there are “invisible” improvements to begin with.
It’s not always just about clock speed, RAM or things like that, sometimes it’s also the passive structure that can help smartphones perform better. Samsung has significantly improved a component for the 2024 that some well-known smartphones such as the Pixel series are completely missing.
This is about the so-called “steam chamber”, which we can simply call a steam chamber. It is a component with liquid inside to dissipate the heat generated by the CPU and GPU as efficiently as possible. Samsung is said to have made significant improvements to the Galaxy S24 series.
The steam chamber grows another year
The steam chamber of the Galaxy S23 series has already grown like the previous model, and only from 2023 the regular model has a steam chamber:
Well-known Samsung internals have solid numbers for us and they sound very good. On the top model, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the steam chamber is said to be almost twice as big as its predecessor. That’s about a 60 percent increase for the Galaxy S24+, and it’s still 50 percent for the Galaxy S24.
You can probably translate it simply: the bigger the steam chamber, the better it can dissipate heat, keeping the performance of the CPU/GPU at a high or stable level. The mentioned Pixel smartphones don’t have anything like that and the biggest criticism in recent years is the performance, which can’t keep up at the highest level.
Galaxy S24 will have a larger vapor chamber for increased cooling performance 👀
