To make a long story short: the judge ultimately ruled in Sony’s favor. A memo seen by GamesIndustry said GET failed to raise a substantive dispute and granted Sony’s motion for summary judgment of non-infringement before declaring the case closed. GET previously filed a similar case against Nintendo, which again went to the platform owner, but the US Court of Appeals overturned that decision in 2022 and it is still pending.
