2024 will bring some big changes to Google’s Pixel portfolio.
While the first new Pixel devices for 2024 are still at least a month away and most of the new generation won’t appear until fall 2024, many details about Google’s plans have already been revealed today. We have quickly summarized all the information so far for you.
Pixel 8a: The spring smartphone has improved again
According to current information, Google seems to be planning a more significant upgrade for the Pixel 8a. Perhaps the charger has the potential to get a few more watts. The improvement is significantly greater on the display, which should be on par with the Pixel 8, with higher peak brightness and 120 Hz.
Unfortunately, the news of the past few weeks has also pushed prices higher. In Germany, the Pixel 8a can start at just 569 euros. There is an additional storage variant with at least 256 GB, though for an additional charge. When it comes to the chipset, we expect a slightly “bad” version of the Tensor G3.
Pixel Fold 2: All new and slightly different

Pixel 9 Pro XL: Two screen sizes for the top model
It’s been a very interesting plot twist over the past few weeks. After all, there won’t be a regular Pixel 9 with a zoom camera. Instead, it has emerged that Google is likely to offer the Pixel 9 Pro in two screen sizes. Apple does the same thing with the Pro iPhone. So there’s a smaller Pixel 9 Pro, probably the same as the Pixel 9, and a larger variant with more screen.
