Despite being a property that started in 1969, Scooby-doo It remains current thanks to endless movies, series, reboots and all kinds of projects related to the mystery gang. now, A new report has revealed that a live action series will be coming to Netflix in the future.
Although at the moment Netflix or Warner Bros. There is no official information from its side, Variety confirms that a live-action Scooby-Doo series is already on the way. This project will consist of one hour episodes. While one would think that this production is for Max, it is part of a deal between Warner Bros. and Netflix, which we recently saw in the premiere of Dead Boys Detectives.
Writers will be Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg, and will executive produce alongside Andre Nemec and Jeff Pinkner under their company, Midnight Radio. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Leigh London Redman will executive produce through their Berlanti Productions. Jonathan Gabe and Adrienne Erickson of Berlanti Productions will co-executive produce.
Unfortunately, at this point there is no information about the actors involved in the project, or what direction the adaptation will take. This isn’t the first time Scooby-doo has done this style. Notably in 2002 and 2004 we saw two live action films made for cinema and there have been similar productions over the years, focused only on television. We can wait to see what kind of series we will see. On a related note, the canceled Scooby-Doo movie has leaked. Similarly, a model plays Daphne.

We all want to see an adaptation of James Gunn’s style of film. That is, a work that feels real and at the same time faithful to the original cartoon. It’s a difficult middle ground to find, but it’s possible, although I don’t have high expectations for this new work.
