How to take a screenshot on a Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet
Recent Samsung Tab models (though probably not for long, e.g. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 is apparently on the way) a great tablet. But if you’re coming from an old tablet, you’re probably wondering how to take a screenshot. Now the home button has been removed. Fortunately, taking screenshots is still easy.
These guidelines apply to the latest Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 range (including Tab S7 FE), Galaxy Tab S6 range, Galaxy Tab S5e, Galaxy Tab S4 running Android 10 and Galaxy Tab S3.
Step 1: Navigate to the screen you want to take a screenshot of.
Step 2: Press Power And Noise less Keys at the same time to take a full-screen screenshot.
How to take a screenshot on a Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet with an S Pen
Pushing a button is not the only way to take a screenshot on a Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet. If your tablet has support for Samsung’s S Pen Stylus, you can also use it to take a screenshot. This is especially useful when you want to take a screenshot of a specific part of your tablet, since you can highlight the part of the screen you want to screenshot and skip everything else.
Step 1: Using your S Pen, open the Air Command shortcut menu. This is a small pen icon, usually on the right side of the screen. If it doesn’t show, tap your screen with your S pen to trigger it.
Step 2: Tap Smart select.
Step 3: Use your S Pen to tap and drag the selection box over your screenshot area.
Step 4: Tap Save image Button to the right of the menu to save your screenshot.
How to take a screenshot using a gesture
If three methods are not enough for you, there is another way to capture a screenshot on your Samsung tablet. One of them is swiping the palm of one hand across the screen to take a screenshot.
Step 1: First, make sure you turn on the feature. Go Settings > Advanced features > Speed and gestures. Then make sure Swipe the palm to capture ON (switch is blue).
Step 2: Then, place the edge of your hand on one end of the screen and swipe it. If done correctly, a screenshot will be taken.
It may take a little practice to go right, but once mastered, you can swipe from right to left or from left to right. Unfortunately, swiping up and down doesn’t work.
How to take a screenshot on an old Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet with a home button.
Tablets usually last much longer than smartphones, so it’s entirely possible that you still have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 from 2017 onwards. If so, taking a screenshot with that device is a bit different from the new device.
Step 1: Go to the screenshot you want to take.
Step 2: Press Power And Home button Take a screenshot at the same time.
Where can you find your screenshot?
Of course, once you have taken your screenshots you need to find out. Fortunately, they are easily found. Just go to your Gallery app, then tap Album > Screenshot. From here, you can edit or share your screenshots to your heart’s content Or, if you need storage, you can delete them.
