TL; DR
Despite what folks in the United States might think, Samsung’s Galaxy S smartphones aren’t the company’s biggest sellers globally. Although Samsung puts most of its muscle behind them as far as development and marketing go, its best-selling smartphones are within the lower-tier Galaxy A series.

As such, it’s pretty big news that there will be a Samsung Galaxy A launch event this coming week. Samsung’s scheduled the launch for Thursday, March 17, 2022, at 10:00 AM ET.
As of now, it’s not entirely clear what Samsung will launch. However, the digital invitation graphic gives us some clues of what to expect. Check it out below.

The graphic above has eight panels with seven of them containing a stylized “A.” The first “A” looks like a smartphone with buttons on the side and a black glass display filling in the gaps. There’s one covered in Emoji and another showing what appear to be photographs of young people.
However, one “A” is clearly underwater. This suggests at least one of the Samsung Galaxy A phones we see this week could carry an IP rating. This is something you don’t see too often on non-flagships, so it’s always nice when it does happen.
Likewise, the neon “A” suggests the phones could have good cameras for low-light photography.
Samsung usually launches quite a few Galaxy A phones at once, so the chances are high that we’ll see multiple devices land on Thursday. Which ones, though, is a mystery for now. Stay tuned!
