Good morning dear travelers on this wild and unpredictable trip that is a preparation for a busy day. This is your speaking assistant, Tech Erlinger’s review editor.
I’ve been looking at Prime Day deals available earlier today, and so far my eyes are mostly on things not available on Amazon as retailers become more competitive during the event. I put myself in lucid dream mode and found that the most expensive spec MacBook Pro is currently discounted, and it is 16.2-inch M1 Max Monster with 64GB RAM, 4TB SSD, 32-core GPU To edit an entire MCU movie (or, you know, almost).
It normally retails at B&H Photo for $4,899 a copy, but right now it’s a full $1,600 off. It is available for “only” $3299 Now.
i think i am You don’t have that much cash on hand, but if you run a medium-sized film studio, this is a big budget saver…
Well, after a few minutes of research, we have to report that the internet has gone quiet when it comes to MacBook deal breakups. It looks like the discounts we’ve already reported are still there, but nothing new, either on newer models or older ones. It’s normal – the calm before the storm. We’ll keep looking, because we’ve got some tempting deals revealed ahead of the official launch of Amazon Prime Day on July 11.
Long story short, my picks for the current MacBook offerings: 13-inch MacBook Pro, 2022, with M2 chip, down from 1299 dollars From $1,099 on Amazon.
To wrap things up for today, let’s compare MacBook Pro prices below with the best deals we’ve seen for this year’s M2 Pro/Max MacBook Pro. These are the top Apple laptops at the moment and they already have some reasonable discounts However, compare those prices to the 2021 model below and you’ll see a difference of about $500.
That’s it for today, but we’ll be back tomorrow with live updates on the best Prime Day MacBook deals, so stay tuned.
Adding to the complexity of the challenge of choosing the best MacBook is that the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros are more “professional” than the 13-inch MacBook Pros (like the 2021 M1 Pro/Max). The MacBook Pro 14 and 16 2022 M2 are more powerful than the MacBook Pro 13 despite having older chipsets. That’s because it comes with the “Pro” or “Max” version of the M1 chip, which is particularly popular in video processing. offers further improvements.
If you need the performance of these high-end devices, going for the 2021 model instead of the new 2023 generation could be a good cost-saving option, depending on what specs you want. As a general rule, the higher the spec, the bigger the savings, with huge discounts of up to $800 off the best settings.
Perhaps the hardest task for MacBook buyers is figuring out the difference between the 13-inch MacBook Air and last year’s MacBook Pro. They’re similar in size and screen quality, both powered by Apple’s own M2 chip, and available at virtually the same price when configured with the same specs (see full comparison).
All in all, we didn’t know why Apple would launch a similar laptop in two months. Things get even more complicated when it comes to Prime Day MacBook deals, meaning the Pro can sometimes cost less than the Air.
In our own testing and actual use of the two laptops, we found that the MacBook Pro 13 offers slightly better performance for tasks that require heavy work (think 3D rendering or video rendering, color correction in Davinci Resolve, etc.) and battery life of two May last up to hours. Longer, though, the M2 Air is a slimmer device and has a webcam, better speakers and an extra charging port. If any of these factors are very important to you, this may help you in your decision, otherwise the best deal will be determined by the specifications you need.
Either way, you’ll find the best Prime Day MacBook deals here. Oddly enough, I’d personally pick the deal that’s actually the worst deal in terms of storage – Air 16GB, 512GB at Adorama. A comfortable amount of RAM and storage, and the Pro costs you those specs 1.699 lbs Because there is no offer.
However, if you always want to be up to date with what’s new, you can get the latest in the UK MacBook Air M2 Edition 1.399 lbs Now £1,279.97. This savings is from 23rd June, which is amazing considering this laptop was launched only on 13th June!
It’s a real laptop curveball, bringing the Air to a 15-inch screen instead of the usual 13-inch. This can make it difficult to fit in a bag, but for some that extra space will be very welcome, and the 15-inch laptop is very thin and light.
Using a refurbished MacBook is a great way to save some extra money. Many websites have a range of certified refurbished or refurbished MacBooks for sale, and one of our absolute favorites currently has a decent deal on Amazon. you can get Refurbished 2020 MacBook Air M1 256GB SSD in “Excellent Condition” for $704 at Amazon , which equates to $295 for the full price of the new model. While it’s currently selling for $869 on Amazon, the new price has historically dropped to $799, so it may drop in the next few days. If you decide to buy a new device, keep an eye out for additional discounts if this price isn’t low enough for you
Figuring out whether a deal is worth it requires balancing price history and model context in terms of recent releases and embedded chips. For example, the 2021 MacBook Pro currently has some pretty big discounts — especially for those with more serious specs. Power users, be sure to check it out—and it’s going to be artistic
B&H Photo is currently offering an offer for the 14-inch MacBook Pro M1 Max (10-core) with a 2TB SSD and 32-core GPU, the most serious offering for the 2021 lineup. The suggested retail price at the time was $4,099 at the time of publication, And that’s just $2,699—a savings of $1,400. If you don’t mind the M2 chip, this device will probably do everything you need (unless you’re a super-power user, in which case you might want to look at the equivalent of the M2 – around $4,000, but with a GPU). with 38 cores).
B&H Photo also has a serious deal on a slightly underperforming device (we called it a bit): you can save $800 on the 1TB version with 16GB of RAM. This increases the price from $2,699 to $1,899 – $1,000 less than equivalent M2 (Amazon currently has $200 off(if you opt for the latest model entirely).
This year’s addition to the MacBook Air lineup — the 15-inch M2 model — is currently at an all-time low on Amazon. This isn’t a new discount, we’ve seen it hit prices twice in its short life, but still $100 off 256GB and 512GB models. We hope for better, but it’s useful to provide context for your Prime Day shopping experience.
If you’re in the UK, you’ll see some discounts on the 2023 MacBook Pro range at some retailers right now. This offer is for a MacBook Pro (M2 Pro, 2023) 14-inch (10-core CPU, 16-core GPU, 512 GB SSD) Silver.
Both Veri and Amazon initially reduced this value to four percent – and so on £2,149 to £1,979.97 (it’s on Amazon). It looks more like a manufacturer’s discount than anything Prime-related, and we expect there to be further price cuts (it was just £1,933 in May), but we can never guarantee anything, and it’s always money left over. There is, so we’ll let you decide if you want to roll the dice.
was! Sure, the official Prime Day event is still a day away. But we can see that there are actually some small savings to be made – so we’re here to tell you all about it and give you some context about these deals and what’s being offered to you on Prime Day proper.
My favorite proposal so far Latest MacBook Air M2 $120 off (13-inch variant released in 2022) At B&H Photo, the price drops from $1,099 to $979. The MacBook Air, which was released only last year, is powered by an M2 chip. It’s the cheapest model currently on sale – and only $10 more than the lowest price we’ve seen on sale This bodes well for the next few days of offers However, if you are urgently looking for an offer, we have already checked the offer.
