Six months have passed since Amecia and Hugo defeated Grand Inquisitor Vitalis Benevent and thwarted the Inquisition’s heinous plan. Hugo’s curse is now apparently under control, the siblings fleeing their devastated homeland and traveling far south, to new territories and vibrant cities. There, they try to start a new life and find a specific remedy for Hugo’s plight.
