Former Apple actor Justin Long switched to Intel a few years ago and now wants to switch to a Windows PC with a Qualcomm processor. During today’s Qualcomm Computex 2024 keynote, Long appeared in a short 30-second skit in which he was bombarded with macOS notification and complaint screens, urging him to find a Snapdragon-powered PC instead.
Justin Long starred in Apple’s “Get a Mac” TV commercial nearly 20 years ago. Long takes on the role of a Mac guy and hilariously mocks PC Guy (actor John Hodgman) for catching viruses and spyware, not having access to creative tools, and focusing too much on boring work tasks.

Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon released the sketch today in the closing stages of the company’s keynote, “The PC Again.” He returned to the stage to finish the keynote by agreeing, “Yes, things are changing. Things are changing.”

This latest ad comes just a few years after Intel briefly hired Justin Long to create new ads praising PCs in 2021 and poking fun at Apple’s Touch Bar, lack of multiple monitor support, and color options for the M1 MacBook. Intel’s ad was a response to Apple’s move away from Intel processors in Macs the previous year, when Apple brought back John Hodgman’s role as PC Guy so Apple could brag about the M1’s performance and battery life.
