Fast gaming monitor with colorful OLED panel
Asus’ OLED monitors, presented at CES 2022 earlier in the year, now have their own product page with lots of new information. The manufacturer has not yet named the price.
Although OLED panels are no longer uncommon in smartphones and televisions, the high-contrast panel technology has so far been rarely represented in the PC or even gaming monitor segment. This is due to, among other things, the property of OLEDs that the displayed images remain lit for long periods of time, i.e. permanently leaving at least shadow marks or distorted colors.
More desktop monitors with OLED panels
Nevertheless, some manufacturers are trying to enter the desktop market with OLEDs. It was only in May that MSI introduced a curved gaming monitor with a mix of quantum dot and OLED, and LG also showed off an OLED monitor whose flat display can be curved if desired.
Asus’ latest monitor series doesn’t have a curved display, but that doesn’t make it any less impressive: full 41.5 inches by measuring ROG Swift OLED PG42UQWith a new OLED gaming monitor 4K resolutionup to 138 hertz Through overclocking and fast GtG response time of 0.1 ms.
