The riser consists of two parts and is intended to set the Sony VENICE or VENICE 2 to 15mm LWS values when combined with the B4003.1030 15mm LWS baseplate for the Sony VENICE and VENICE 2.

The split design allows the cage to be quickly detached from the baseplate, creating a low profile design for easy balance of gimbals and studicams without completely detaching.

Key features

Consists of 15mm LWS height set top and riser plate with baseplate core
Combines with the side and top plates to form a solid cage
Accelerates setup changes with detachable riser plates, creating a low profile setup for gimbal and stadicam work
The front / rear of the camera can be adjusted on the base plate for optimal balance with pin identification to ensure proper alignment.

The upper plate is attached directly to the bottom of the camera and the riser plate is mounted on the baseplate core. The camera can be secured to the base plate with the upper plate. The front / rear position of the camera can be adjusted for optimal balance before attaching locating pins to ensure proper alignment.

For gimbal and studicam work, the camera can be quickly detached from the baseplate by providing a low profile form factor, ready to be attached to dovetail and other quick release plates with a stable 75mm wide base, removing the baseplate and lowering the center of gravity. And reduces the overall weight of the build.

The upper plate also provides mounting points for the B4004.1021 and B4004.1022 side plates. Combined with the B4004 1020 sliding top plate, they form a rigid cage around the camera.
