Xiaomi promises a lot of new cameras and the 14 Pro has a completely new display.
Xiaomi presented their new top model in China. Two Xiaomi 14 smartphones are now being launched there and they once again bring with them a lot of powerful hardware. Unfortunately, we still don’t have any information on when the new devices will launch internationally, but we expect the wait time to be a bit shorter than in the past few years.
Xiaomi 14 gets a proper camera update
The regular Xiaomi 14 already has a new camera that has a lot more to offer technically (larger sensor) and is equipped with Leica Summilux optics. The camera setup covers focal lengths of 23mm (1X), 46mm (2X), 14mm (0.6X) and 75mm (3.2X) with a floating lens for macro mode.

What was a hit last year is outdated this year and no longer used. We’re talking about the curved display, which is no longer available on the 14 Pro. Instead, there is now curved glass all around, which should feel very soft.
Xiaomi is now using “Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass” and no longer using Gorilla Gas. Still, it’s definitely of very high quality and promises plenty of protection in case of a fall. We’ll have to wait and see how well it does.
With the new camera it is now more variable, also due to the new Summilux optics. Available apertures range from 1.42 to 4.0, and focal lengths are the same as the standard 14mm. However, the 14 Pro sometimes uses a better image sensor, which makes a difference. However, 4K selfies are finally possible, even at 60 FPS.
Xiaomi is once again delivering top-notch smartphones that are now slowly exhausting all the high-potentials. The base is the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which really has what you’re looking for in this area. Now we are waiting for global information.
By the way, both devices are equipped with the new HyperOS operating system.
