Twitter has announced that it will launch it Branded choice advertising options From next week to all advertisers, which will enable brands to create custom like animations for their tweets to help improve app engagement.
Branded Likes ????: Have you seen Branded Likes – the custom animation of the Like button that makes you like, dislike and re-like a tweet just for fun. We will make them available to all advertisers in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan next week https://t.co/nIpfVpdEhc

As shown in this example in a recent ‘Scream’ movie promotion, branded likes have been stylized like enhanced for specific tweets.
Although I’m not sure about Twitter’s point here, people ‘dislike and dislike’ these custom animations over and over again. It’s not untrue, but I don’t think there’s a metric for it – so even if it increases engagement, you won’t have any way to track such activity in your campaign statistics.
Still, it can be an interesting option – a higher end, of course, given the additional technical requirements during the game. But it can also provide another interactive option for promoting your tweets, which can help improve recall and resonance for your messaging.
But yes, it can be expensive. Twitter was charging once $ 1 million for the branded emoji hashtag around the Super BowlWhich, of course, made the video an overnight sensation.
Branded Like campaigns won’t be so much, but depending on your promotion, they can be expensive, even if they look great.
Twitter says it will make branded likes available as an advertising option All advertisers in the US, UK and Japan from next week.
